Apple plant: from seed to plant, how to grow it at home

If you have a garden or available land, cultivating a fruit plant like the apple tree is a rewarding venture. Growing an apple tree from seed is a simple and fulfilling process, especially when using seeds from a very ripe apple, increasing the likelihood of quick germination.

Step-by-Step Guide:

• Extracting Seeds from the Apple:
  • Cut the apple almost in half, ensuring not to go all the way to the center with the knife.
  • Rotate the apple, letting it split into two parts while keeping the seeds intact.
• Preparing Seeds for Germination:
  • Take a glass or plastic container and a small cloth napkin.
  • Place the napkin in the container, deposit the collected seeds inside, and close the napkin.
  • Spray the napkin generously with water using a spray bottle and seal the container.
  • Position it in a well-lit area of the house, avoiding direct sunlight.
  • After 10 days, check the seeds, and you’ll notice some have already sprouted.
• Transferring to a Pot:
  • Take a small pot with a diameter of about 10 cm and fill it with new soil.
  • Make a hole in the center and plant the seed with the root downwards and the head facing upwards at a depth of about 3 centimeters.
  • Spray the soil with plenty of water using a spray bottle.
  • Place the pot in a well-lit area, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Nurturing the Seedling:

  • As days pass, the plant will grow stronger and more visible.
